When only criminals own guns

I wept loudly at the terrible injustice and prayed mightily on behalf of the families of the four officers killed in Lakewood, Washington yesterday... that the murderer(s) will be found and justice will prevail.

I agree 100% with Ted Nugent. We have become a nation of spineless idiots where offenders are 'free' and we are in bondage because we can't protect ourselves, our families, or others...and freely exercise our 2nd Amendment rights. Will we really feel we are 'safer' with criminals carrying weapons and moral and free men NOT? We should be training every God fearing citizen to defend themselves - if we are intent on running our criminal justice system the way we are. And...yes, NO REPEAT OFFENDERS! - This is one sure way to protect our children and others not strong enough to defend themselves - from those who have reprobate minds and cannot be rehabilitated - whose hearts are evil constantly.

May God have mercy on all of us if we continue to allow evil to overcome good - on any level - in our culture. The consequences for premeditated murder should be immediate trial... and immediate death - no waiting, no draining the system with appeals. We should be citizens who criminals fear, not the other way around. I have friends and family who “carry” and I feel safe with them. Because of this outrage, and because we are rightly angry with those who seek to diminish our role as citizens to control those intent on evil by limiting our 2nd amendment rights and taking the lives of innocent men, women and children...my husband and I are going to learn how to use a gun - while we can.

So how near is HE?

Times and Seasons

Encouragement: “That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth; even in him.” Eph. 3:10

“The dispensation of the fullness of times” is when the Lord returns to establish His kingdom. So how near is He?

The time when the “Redeemer shall come to Zion” is fixed - following the completion of His work with the Gentiles. When the church, His Bride, is ‘called out’ count down begins for Zion, the Jewish nation of Israel.

I’ve sought in these days of autumn to understand the fall feasts and how they apply to the return of the Lord, first, for His Bride and second, to judge the earth. So how close are we?

If we are wise men, we will seek to understand - not the Gentile calendar (solar based) or the Muslim calendar (lunar based) - but the Jewish calendar, which is based on both the Solar and Lunar calendars.

The Jewish New Year began on the eve of September 18 with Rosh Hashanah (TRUMPETS) and concluded on the 20th. This is year is 5770.

Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement began on the eve of September 27th and was observed on the 28th or, Tishrei 28. Christ is our Atonement.

The Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot, began on the eve of the 2nd of October. Jews set up booths outside and live in them as they rejoice in a time of thanking God for a fruitful harvest season. This festival ends on the 11th with a ‘rejoicing of the Torah.’ We will celebrate this feast in heaven and on earth when the Lord returns for His millennial reign.

What of the other feasts? All are significant, but the fall ones are deeply and prophetically significant as to the time of His return. Their total fulfillment is near. If we understand the Jewish calendar and astronomy - the signs in the heavens, like eclipses - as well as the signs Jesus spoke about as coming on the earth - we will see the season of Christ’s return clearly. No one knows the hour or the day, certainly, but the wise men at Christ’s first coming understood the season - when to travel and follow the star to Jerusalem to find the Savior of the world.

Herod tried to derail the fulfillment of first coming, and, even Satan understands there will be a Second coming…and has done his best to hijack it by instituting other religious deceptions and counterfeits, “to change the times and seasons” – and persecute or kill those who are the heirs of the promises by every means possible. Political schemes are inherent in what Satan does to deceive the nations and thwart the will of God. His time is short, so he rages.

How Long? I don’t know, but I believe it is sooner than we expect. I do know my spirit is quickening and my heart awakening to understand the signs and the times. A deep study of the significance of the feasts of the Lord is certainly in order. ‘Suddenly’ the trumpet will sound….and we will hear it if we have our hearing aids attuned to the Holy Spirit and are wise men instead of foolish…wise virgins with lamps lit, “loving His appearing;” we will be ready to meet Him in the air.

Prince of Peace, many have come in Your Name declaring they are “the One.” They would deceive the very elect “if it were possible.” It’s not possible Lord, we know because we are preparing ourselves to understand and be wise with Your wisdom, hidden in You from those who are self deceived - by the world the flesh and the devil. What we do know: there will be no real peace without the Prince of Peace. A true ‘Nobel Peace Prize’ belongs to You alone. And, dear Lord, you already left us Your peace, not a counterfeit. May we appropriate it in this hour of transition in our nation and world:

“My peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Amen.

WHY PRAY?

All about Love

“God rules in the affairs of men” and He rules as Sovereign in the earth. He alone appoints men to positions of leadership. The worship of false gods, the evil of men, may hinder, thwart or destroy the good God releases into the lives of men, but it cannot ultimately stop it from moving towards His goal and the fulfillment of His Word for “such a time as this.”

“The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ…and He shall reign for ever and ever.”

Satan is raging and his goal is to deceive, destroy and deter God from ruling and reigning on earth; something that was determined for all eternity at Calvary. Satan is a defeated foe, all evidence to the contrary. On earth, He is building a people of godly character - preparing us to rule for eternity - as we deal with good and evil.

The harvest and judgment are close at hand.

Prayer allows us the opportunity to serve in God’s presence and reassure ourselves as to His ability to subdue the people under His dominion. “Thy will be done.” God will do what He wills regardless of our prayers - or lack thereof.

So why pray? Prayer is for our benefit. It builds spiritual muscles of understanding of God’s ability to be His Sovereign Self in everything…unto the eternity He has prepared for those who love Him.

Prayer: It allows a private conversation/consultation with Him. His response is to reveal to us what He is doing in the earth.

Prayer: A gift and a tool; where we learn we are part of His eternal plans… His workmanship…created for good works.

Prayer: The primary work; essential, intimate, the fulfilling of His desire to bring Him pleasure and recreate us in the image of Christ. That is why He created us.

When we pray, we seek Him…and that is what He loves.

A Nation of Fools?

A Bubbling Brook

“When a wicked man comes, contempt also comes, and with dishonor comes reproach. The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook. To show partiality to the wicked is not good, nor to thrust aside the righteous in judgment.” Prov. 18:3-5

Like most of you, I watch, listen, ponder and then respond with an opinion. Today my opinion rests in the above scripture. We are a nation of fools in general and then, in particular, with regard to debt. We intentionally ‘hired’ wicked men and women and turned our public bank account over to them so they could run up huge tabs at our expense. And they feel entitled to continue to do it.

Yep, we’ve handed over personal accountability for our Republic, our freedoms, to politicos using a national – and most likely an international -‘ponzi’ scheme. They make Bernie Madoff look like a saint. But more importantly we have broken faith with the Lord as we’ve done it. We have shown partiality to the wicked and are receiving a constant daily portion of contempt blended with dishonor and reproach - by those we trusted with our future. We have forsaken the ancient paths.

I’ve been in DC with my daughter the past several weeks. She is a VP with Motorola. I learn more about politics than I want to when I’m here. And, I never cease to be appalled at the lying deceitful rhetoric ‘entitled’ people use…those who run our government, those who think they know better than the rest of us – who pay the bills.

What I see… we are headed into deeper waters. We need a fountain of refreshing wisdom; one that is like a bubbling brook. Those who are ruling over us are filling in the ancient wells of wisdom with man made Astroturf and calling it good. Yet we know it is plastic and putrid; a dead sea. We might be able to float, but everything in it that brings life is being killed off, so we certainly won’t be able to survive - if we keep looking to it for sustenance, let alone wise understanding of what to do next.

I encourage a thorough study of what the Bible says about the wise, about wisdom. May we take time to respond in prayer to what the Lord reveals. Pray God raises His impartial wise men and women in this hour of fractured thinking and deeds.

I saw a statue while I was here that stopped me. Wisdom seated with an open book with this epithet: “the past is prologue future.” May we study the past well and anticipate future dialogue wisely. May we ‘bubble’ with godly wisdom to meet the crisis of this hour with courage and honor, fortitude and faith. Amen.

The 'One' in Cairo: What is He Saying?

President Obama has managed to mangle the facts so many times, in such high places, that my amazement factor is on overload. However, one cannot but be amazed at his rhetoric, and the technology that allows this kind of soaring rhetoric – thanks to tele-prompters – however, we also must ponder this fact: “there is nothing new under the sun.” What we learned from this speech is present statistical evidence is not important, (the number of Muslims in America), we are just waiting to give the farm away to save them from themselves…and quoting the Holy Koran (!) is one way to earn points with Muslims – please note the places of applause closely.

As a follower of Christ, I am distressed at his lumping Jesus into the equation in the manner he did – knowing what I know about Muslim beliefs. Jesus was given a ‘pass’ only as one of the Muslim prophets. He exists for them, but they expect someone higher: the Mahidi. Just ask the President of Iran…who is certain this person shall appear on the scene soon and that all faithful Muslims should do all they can to hasten it by killing as many Christians and Jews as possible. Perhaps, being Obama said he was a Christian, he should have asked Jesus question instead: “and who do you say I AM?”

Some situations do not deserve ‘respect’ – Obama’s word for all seasons and reasons. I refuse to respect liars, slanderers, murderers, rapists, sodomites, and those intent on the destruction of other nations for whatever reason. And, while you are entitled to your opinion, if you want to cozy up with the enemy and believe this garbage, be my guest. Just give me ‘respect’ when I refuse to pay for it through programs that are scams to do one thing: promote an agenda to mainstream a system of belief that wishes to destroy mine! I absolutely refuse to tolerate your toleration! I like free enterprise, taxation with true representation and the right to state my opinions and beliefs without having to water them down with a little ‘lie’ to make them palatable. I cringe inside at the Obama soft sell of Islam – to Islamists and to, for the most part, an unsuspecting dozing American electorate.

Jesus came to bring a “sword” – and anyone who wishes to stand with Him in this hour will lift up the “sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God” and not listen to voices calling for “peace, peace, when there is no peace.” There will be no peace, until the PRINCE OF PEACE comes to straighten out this mess. I did not originally think Obama was the anti-Christ, but I’m beginning to wonder. If he’s not, this speech reaffirms my original insight - he certainly looks more and more like a forerunner. Hope you all are “looking up” and praying you are ready to stand before the Son of God and the Son of Man…with faith in Him not in any man.

So how is your faith level these days?

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” “Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you.” May the Lord find us in peace and ‘spotless’ – separated from the world, the flesh and the wiles and schemes of the evil one.

Amen.

How God will use Jerusalem in end times

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the peoples round about, when they will be the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day, I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people; and that burden themselves with it will be cut in pieces, even through all the nations of the earth be gathered together against it…And it will come to pass, in that day, that I will seek to destroy all nations that come against Jerusalem.” Zechariah 12:2, 3, 9

“In that day” – a prophetic marker to indicate a future day, but one drawing nearer, when God will use Jerusalem as a standard by which to judge the nations of the world. Just as He’s used it to show the nations His glory, He is moving the clock forward again. Israel is His timepiece. Nationally, God can test the pulse of a nation by their attitude towards Israel. Look hard at our current U. S. policy decisions.

What will become of all the sacrifices…just to be told to leave? They consider Jerusalem to have spiritual status. The Jews believe Judea and Samaria to be their historic dream. If Jews leave those places, the Zionist idea will begin to collapse. It will regress on its own. Then we will move forward.”

Diana’s Note: The Arab world is mixed regarding Obama. They feel Israel and U.S. pose them the greatest threat. Watch for Obama’s June 4th speech to the Muslims, as the Muslim world believes there is hope with Obama – dating to his promises to open a new era with them. What is very clear, Jews and Muslims see the threat of the destruction of Israel as a current real possibility. That Obama had Netanyahu agree not to deal with Iran for six months is unbelievable. Evidently, the idea of a dead Israel is more important than stopping Iranian nuclear ambitions before they can unleash it on Israel.

These are times of testing preceding the coming of the Lord to open the eyes of His people, the Jews, to their Messiah, Yeshua, Jesus.

God’s test for us: Do we, as Americans, understand God’s redemptive plan for the earth? Will we support His will for Jerusalem? Will we further His plans in preparation for His future restoration “on earth as it is in heaven” for Israel, or fight against it?

The Word of God is verifiable. Not one prophecy has failed. Not one promise will go unfulfilled. God will not be mocked, nor will those who love Him be forsaken. Israel is the “apple of God’s eye.” How terrible for those who think they can trade land to appease the implacable evil schemes of those who desire to destroy her. We all will give account to the Judge of every created soul.

As Jews fight for the land He gave to Abraham, Issac and Jacob; those of us who have been grafted in to the covenant promises of God and believe in Christ, those waiting on earth for His appearing, will be transported to their heavenly home.

In the meantime, “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” and fight for her safety…we are always called to “overcome evil with good.”
